Radogno, Durkin & Indian Prairie Library District to Host First Annual Jobs Fair

Darien, IL…. Are you looking for a job or a new career? State Senator Christine Radogno and State Representative Jim Durkin and the Indian Prairie Library District invite you to participate in their FREE Jobs Fair on August 8th, 2014 in Darien.

Senator Radogno said, “With Illinois unemployment rates still higher than the national average and that of surrounding states, we need to make a concerted effort to help generate job growth across our state. This event is an opportunity for us to help match qualified candidates with dozens of employers—providing businesses and potential employees with accessible and ample resources to assist in the job search process.”

“109 employers are participating in our first annual Jobs Fair. This is a great opportunity to meet face-to-face with several potential employers all under one roof. Come prepared for on the spot interviews and make sure to bring plenty of copies of your resume,” said Durkin.

The Jobs Fair will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Darien Sports Complex, 451 Plainfield Road in Darien. At 9:00 a.m. the first workshop will be held on how to navigate the state employment process. If your resume needs some improvement, at 10:00 a.m. you might want to attend the “Stand Out Resumes” workshop. At 10:45 a.m. a workshop will be held that will help you through the interview process, and the final workshop at 11:30 a.m. will focus on networking your way to a new job. All of the workshops are free of charge.
