On May 5, Governor Pritzker announced his plan for a gradual, phased-in re-opening of the Illinois economy on a regional basis. In doing so, the Governor has put Kendall County in the same region as Cook County, meaning that our local economy will remain shuttered until the City of Chicago and Cook County meet the established criteria to re-open. It is not fair to treat Kendall County like Cook County. Join us in demanding that the Governor remove Kendall County from the Cook County region and instead include us with the DeKalb County region.
