State Representative Jim Durkin (R-Western Springs) is teaming up with the Citizens Utility Board (CUB) to hold a utility bill clinic for area residents in an effort to save consumers money. The CUB Utility Bill clinic will be held Monday, April 21, 2014 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Betty Woods Activity Center, 14718 Founders Circle in Homer Glen.
“Feel like you are paying too much for utilities? Come on out to our Utility Bill clinic. Participants are encouraged to bring in their gas, electric and phone bills for a free one-on-one analysis by a CUB expert. This is a great opportunity to learn how to spot billing errors and avoid scams. There will be information about utility rebate programs and incentives and choices in the gas, electric and phone markets that could help save you money,” said Durkin.
CUB is a non-profit consumer group that has been advocating for Illinois utility consumers since 1984.
If you are interested in attending you are encouraged to call 630-325-2028 because space is limited to 60 people.
