Let Income Tax Increase Expire - Illinois House Republican Leader Jim Durkin

Let Income Tax Increase Expire

In a lame duck session in 2011, the Democrat-controlled legislature imposed a 67% income tax increase on every working person in the state of Illinois. They promised it was temporary and set it to rollback on January 1, 2015. Now they want to make that tax increase permanent.

We don't think it's right. If you agree, please add your name to the petition below and take the added step of sharing it with your friends.

Let's make them keep their promise.

Please, for once, keep your word and bring my tax rate back to where it was. You are killing our economy with all the taxes. Please study Texas, they appear to understand what it takes to make their economy strong. There is no shame in using the Texas plan to help get our State back on track.

What happened to all the money you collected from this tax increase? I’ll bet you politicians spent it like a drunk sailor on shore leave. Wake up, we are getting extremely irritated with you wasting our money.

Will this “Democratic” strong-arm Government ever STOP? I can’t wait until they are all voted out of power. They are doing it to themselves and to their party, by not being true to their constituents. What gives you the right to pass an UNBALANCED Budget? This is very irresponsible, “DEMOCRATIC” Politics, and you should be ashamed to call yourself an American!

Why would legislators ask for the Republicans to “leave appropriations committee meetings when appropriations bills were finalized”? I have a vote, and my Representative is entitled to speak on my behalf! Bottom line…if you are spending my money, my representative has a “RIGHT” to be present and voice “MY OPINION”!

    YOUSHUT” ME OUT…WE “VOTEYOU OUT!
