For years, Illinois Democrats have attempted to limit school choice by placing unreasonable restrictions on private, parochial and charter schools and have killed successful programs such as the “Invest in Kids Act” which have helped parents move their kids out of underperforming public schools.

Now they’ve proposed legislation (H.B. 2827) that places burdensome reporting, curricular and administrative requirements on families in the homeschool community. This is nothing more than another attempt to expand the power and influence of government over your parental rights.
