The people of Illinois have had to put up with corruption in government for far too long. We believe that adding new, strong recall provisions to the state constitution will help return some power to the people by giving them the option of actually "voting the bums out." This would create a process for citizens, via petition, to launch a recall election to potentially the Governor, all statewide constitutional officers, appointed statewide positions such as the Speaker of the House, Senate President and Auditor General, all lawmakers, or local elected officials.
