Recycle Event

Please join State Rep Jim Durkin and State Senator John Curran at a free Community Recycle Event they are hosting to keep unwanted items out of landfills and help local non-profits fulfill their missions to help those in need.

Volunteers from The Keeling Family Foundation, Morning Star Mission and Working Bikes will be at the event to accept donated items. Additionally, AT&T will be on hand with a shred truck to accept residential documents to be shredded. Please note there is a 2 bags per car limit for shredding.

Residents are encouraged to bring unwanted items from the list below to Homer Junior High, 15711 Bell Road in Homer Glenn, IL on Saturday, September 23 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
