Let Income Tax Increase Expire - Illinois House Republican Leader Jim Durkin

Let Income Tax Increase Expire

In a lame duck session in 2011, the Democrat-controlled legislature imposed a 67% income tax increase on every working person in the state of Illinois. They promised it was temporary and set it to rollback on January 1, 2015. Now they want to make that tax increase permanent.

We don't think it's right. If you agree, please add your name to the petition below and take the added step of sharing it with your friends.

Let's make them keep their promise.

I have one question: Were you lying when you said this tax was temporary? If you lied, that makes you a liar, and the Bible says ALL LIARS will have their part in the Lake of Fire! Better to humble yourself and repent and keep your word and tell the truth than to burn. Forever.

My plan is to head out of this state as soon as possible. Primary reason, taxes. I have it with tax and spending plan this state has had over the years. Enough is enough!
