“This free event is great for both children and parents to learn about the newest tools and methods for safety in their homes as well as public places,” Durkin said. “The interactive children’s activities make it easy for kids to learn the importance of safety in their day to day lives.”

Admission is free. There will also be free giveaways at the event. Thirty “Touch-a-Trucks” will be at the Safety Expo, and kids are invited to see, touch and get behind the wheel of their favorite vehicle. Local professionals will be available to answer questions about the equipment and the work they do.

“We have an excellent roster of organizations that will be in attendance and available to provide useful resources and safety information for families, as well as fun and interactive activities for the kids,” said Curran. “Parents and their kids really look forward to the Children's Expo, so I'm excited to be a host this year.”
