On Nov. 14th members of the Illinois Diabetes Caucus scheduled 39 screening events in communities across the state. 

Our members partnering with local employers, hospitals and others in the health care industry provided free screenings to 1116 individuals that day for diabetes...of that number, 38 were referred to seek additional care.  According to the American Diabetes Association, 7 million Americans have Diabetes but have not been diagnosed....early detection is important so that those identified as having diabetes can get the treatment they need to feel better and live a healthier life.
